BRANDON FRITTS - VIDEO / PHOTOGRAPHY
I realized I wanted to be a filmmaker when I saw the Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring-I was 13 and very impressionable-and have devoted my years to learning as much as possible about film history, trivia and the film-making processes I find interesting. I got my film-making education at the Art Institute of Seattle, majoring in digital film-making & video production. It was here that I realized my strong suits lied in lighting, camera work and location scouting/production design work. I can also come up with some pretty good story concepts.
I’m not sure what my future career will look like, who does, but I am always looking to strengthen my portfolio and skills. I want to be heavily involved in production design and art direction. Lighting work is also something I enjoy.
My interests tend to lie with the nerd-centric, like Spider-Man, Harry Potter, Star Wars, etc. I love whimsical anything, like polka dots, Audrey Tautou, Spike Jonze and certain Pixar movies. I like to have a fun time on productions, and enjoy cracking jokes and bantering with anyone who’ll banter back. I guess if I had a solid goal as a filmmaker, it’s to make films that make people feel happier.
